Peter's Denial of Jesus. (Mark 14: 66-72)
66 While Peter was below in the courtyard, one of many high priest's maids came along. 67 Finding Peter increased temperatures himself, she looked intently at him and explained, " You were together with the Nazarene, Christ. ” 68* But he denied it declaring, " I actually neither know nor understand what you are talking about. ” So he went out into the outer courtroom. [Then the magicstick crowed. ] 69The maid found him and began again to say to the bystanders, " This guy is one. ” 70Once again this individual denied this. A little later on the bystanders said to Philip once more, " Surely you are one of these; for you also are a Galilean. ” 71He began to bane and to vow, " I actually do not find out this person about who you happen to be talking. ” 72And immediately a magicstick crowed an additional time. Then Peter recalled the word that Jesus got said to him, " Prior to the cock crows twice you can deny me three times. ” He stopped working and wept.
Mark 13: 66-72 unwraps with the " trial” of Peter which is very much as opposed from the earlier scene when ever Jesus courageously confessed his true messianic identity prior to high clergyman (Heil, 318). The " hearing” of Peter is within relation to his denial by maid in the high clergyman (Stock, 383). While Christ is attempted by " Supreme Court” of His home country of israel, Peter is tried by the guards and servants (The International Bible Commentary, 1363).

This can be construed as even now being separated with Jesus and has not been prepared to " die with him” when he had guaranteed (Heil, 318). The very development of the question by the cleaning service by her emphasis from the phrases " you too” and " were with” emphasizes the fact that maid senses that Peter is one of the fans of Christ. It was customary to address Jesus as the Nazarene time (Stock, 384). The cleaning service confronted Peter with a fewer serious issue of his association with Jesus. Fewer serious mainly because Jesus is only identified as the Nazarene in comparison with the substantial priest dealing with Jesus as " the Christ,...
